That first “house” is a mansion or estate, even a castle, not a house. But I guess everything is bigger in the US. The laundry room is bigger than man kitchen and laundry room in my house combined.

I thought there was a height limit imposed by the HOA but those houses look pretty tall with high ceilings, and even 2 stories which I thought wasn't possible. 1 story is better so you don't have to go up and down stairs for folks who are disabled or if you become disabled in the future. EDIT: so after watching further in the video those houses aren't actually in your community so you won't be able to do all those things. Kind of a bummer I would look for a different community with a different HOA so you can build like the houses in the early part of the video. Can you build a basement and maybe have high ceilings that way?

What I learned going from apartment>condo>townhouse>house>bigger house. It’s all just your home you get used to everything and it doesn’t matter just enjoy your life, and the people around you. Don’t stretch your budget, it’s never worth it.
